Kitty joined the Accelerate project at Life Path Trust three years ago. She originally came to us as she wanted to work in floristry.

With the help of the Accelerate Journey Guide Tina Malin, who is based in the Community Day Opportunities Team, Kitty has flourished during the last year. Slowly but surely she has grown in confidence and her abilities have shone through. She has unique skills in arts and crafts and as her confidence has grown so have her skills as an Artist.

Recently she has been signposted by the Life Path Trust Journey Guide to Join ‘Foleshill Creates’ which is a local group of Artists. This experience has proven to be very inclusive and supportive.  It has opened up lots of opportunities for Kitty to gain support from other Artists and for her to even run her own workshops which is an amazing testament to the confidence Kitty has gained. Kitty is nearly at the end of her journey with the Accelerate project, setting up her own business as an Artist.

Kitty has had an exhibition at the Belgrade Theatre Coventry with her Mum and as a result an article was written about her story, both Kitty and Tina were filmed by the BBC for the local news and her interview was posted on their website. To date that report has had 8.719 views which is a fantastic achievement for Kitty and for Life Path Trust and her involvement on the Accelerate Project.
