Kay Sumner  -  Director of Finance & Development (SMT)

Kay joined Life Path in September 2012 to the new post of Director of Finance and Development. 

She has worked in the charity sector for a large part of her career, working with a grant giving charity in Stratford Upon Avon and before that with a Housing Association that provided housing and specialist dementia care in South West London.  

Kay's current post oversees the financial aspects of the Life Path Group, the human resources service together with the group development issues.

Kay is also a Fellow of the Institute of the Chartered of Accountants.

Elaine Skillern  -  Director of Operations (SMT)

Elaine has worked for the charity since 1997.  She has seen Life Path Trust move from providing residential care to providing domiciliary support to people with learning difficulties. 

Due to this change, Elaine's job has also developed from a Senior Care Assistant to PCP Coordinator.  Doing person centred plans with individuals has been inspirational to achieving service users life goals and achievements.

Elaine joined the senior management team by taking on the new challenge of Director of Operations on 1st September 2013.

Gail Cooper  -  Area Manager

Gail has worked for Life Path Trust since 1993 and during that time has set up and managed a multitude of services, including Respite.

She has seen tremendous changes in learning disabilities over the past 20 years and enjoys putting her experience to supporting people with a variety of abilities and needs.

Gail continues to develop her special interest of supporting people with dementia, which began prior to her time with Life Path Trust.

Her commitment is to developing and sustaining a supported living home environment throughout the various stages of the condition, embracing all current learning experiences.


Bonnie Wilson  -  Area Manager

Bonnie has worked in the Social Care sector for over 27 years.  She started as a volunteer at a large institution supporting people with learning difficulties. 

Bonnie then went on to do a variety of support and managemet roles within this field. 

Coming to Life Path in July 2006, she is presently managing 8 services as part of her Area Manager role.

Tracy Gibson-Whent  -  Area Manager

Tracy has two children and has worked in social care for over 12 years.  She joined Life Path Trust in July 2001.

Initially starting out as a Support Worker, she took on the role of Support Coordinator a few years later and then got promoted to an Area Manager in 2010.

She said she enjoys the challenges her Manager role brings.

Mark Gibson  -  Area Manager

Mark has worked for the charity since 1993.  He has an interest in IT and technology in general and because of this he has led the push into installing assistive technology into our services.

Mark believes Assistive technology is important as it can enable the people we support to live more independent lives with less intrusion from support staff.

Lynn Davison - Community Manager Oxford

Lynn joined Life Path in September 2016 to the new post of Community Manager for Oxfordshire.

She has worked in social care for all of her career, primarily working with adults with learning disabilities but also working in children's and older peoples services.

Lynn is especially interested in supporting people with profound and multiple disabilities and those diagnosed on the autistic specturm.

Lynn has previously worked for the NHS, Oxfordshire County Council and Mencap.

Angelie Rankine  -  Service Manager for Respite Care

Angelie has worked for Life Path Trust since January 2002.  She started working at Ellys Road Respite as a support worker then went on to work in Area 2 as a Person Centred Support Co-ordinator in July 2006.  Angelie became the Respite Manager in January 2017. 

Angelie has gained a lot of experience in supporting individuals with various disability and needs.  She aspires to continue to provide individuals with high quality compassionate care, while maintaining their independence.

Angelie's motto is "don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try"

Louise Fellows  -  Community Manager

Louise officially took on this new role from 16th December 2013.

Prior to this role she was a key member in helping to set up our Oxford service. 

Louise has been in varied roles within Life Path from Support Co-ordinator, to acting Manager and Team Leader before tackling the Day Opportunities service.
